On November 2nd, 2013 Kaminski Auctions hosted The Oprah Winfrey Collection auction at the Santa Barbara Polo and Racquet Club. This amazing event raised over $600,000 for The Oprah Winfrey Leadership Academy Foundation College Fund. Oprah’s plans for a top to bottom redo of her Santa Barbara home was the catalyst for this outstanding sale. Ms. Winfrey personally selected many of the items included in the auction from her homes in Chicago, Maui, Indiana and Santa Barbara. The sale presented exceptional European and English antiques, fine art, and autographed memorabilia. This auction was a unique opportunity for fans and collectors to add a wonderful piece of furniture or art to their home from the collection of one of today’s most influential women, while benefiting an important cause.
